RELOCATING TO UNITED KINGDOM WITH PETS

Rules and Regulations:

1. Pets can enter to UK only from a qualifying country and cannot have been outside qualifying countries during the (6) six months before entry the UK.
2. Pets must have a microchip (meet ISO Standards) inserted by a vet. The microchip must be inserted BEFORE the required rabies vaccine.
3. Rabies Vaccination. The vaccine must be done AFTER the microchip has been placed in your dog.
4. Blood Test - The blood test must be done in the U.S. (a lab that is recognized by the U.K. Pet Travel Scheme).
5. Official PETS Certification – after your pet passed the blood test
6. Tick and Tapeworm Treatment and Certification (24 to 48 hours BEFORE your pet gets on the plane.

Additional Requirements:

1. Approved route and air carrier for entry into the U.K.,
2. An official seal on your dog's carrier or container,
3. A declaration of residence (PETS 3 Form),
4. Customs paperwork.
5. All pets must enter into England via cargo on an airplane. Petss cannot arrive via private plane or boat.
6. Breeds such as ("dangerous dogs") forbidding entry: Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dog Argentino, or a Filo Braziliero.
