There is a 30-day quarantine for all pets (except those from Australia, New Zealand,
United Kingdom and Ireland) visiting Singapore. Pets must have health certificate issued by a veterinarian of the ORIGIN country, stating that the animal is healthy and free from any infectious or transmittable diseases.
Each animal must have a confirmed quarantine space before an application for import permit will be issued. The owner, permit holder, or his/her agent must notify the AVA officer at the designated inspection station at least (1) one working day prior to arrival of their pet. Upon arrival the pet will be inspected by an AVA officer at that port of entry.
Dogs and cats over 3 months of age must apply for a dog permit from the AVA.
Pets imported from most countries (other than Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Ireland) will be vaccinated against rabies on arrival in Singapore and quarantined at the Animal Quarantine Station for 30 days.
Charges:
- Transportation and the rabies vaccination - $65-75;
- Boarding - $7 / day;
- Quarantine process -$300;
- Licensing fee - $50.
The following dog breeds are forbidden entry:
Pit Bull (American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog and crosses between them and other breeds), Neapolitan Mastiff, Tosa, Akita, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero and their crosses.
